In 2014 we identified a gap in the market for strategic execution software, and our adventurous tech start-up was born. Based in Sydney, Australia, with offices in the US and South Korea and employees all over the globe, we work closely with an array of customers around the globe. We have Engineers in Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne and are open to any engineers willing to work remotely from Australia or New Zealand. 

2021 has been a huge year so far, doubling the business revenue this year (from 5 to 10m), we started at 28 people and now we are 72+  and growing we are also giving great packages and equity to all employees and will become a unicorn within 3 to 4 years.Cascade is a unique product that solves a massive problem, helping companies turn their visions into realities: rolling out COVID-vaccines, building formula-1 cars, battling AIDS, running transportation projects for the entire state of California and winning the English Premier League just to name a few.

The Role

You will be working on exciting and interesting projects, introducing processes, tools, and methodologies from infrastructure through to the software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working to establish the culture of our DevOps practice
  • Act as a communication bridge for Operations, Development and QA ensuring quality outcomes and contributing to harmonious and effective interaction.
  • Using IaC tools to provision resilient, robust, scalable, secure infrastructure on demand across multiple environments/regions 
  • Designing, provisioning and maintaining CI/CD build and release pipelines 
  • Automating manual processes to allow developers to work faster
  • Monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.

 

 

What we are looking for

  • Proficiency with Amazon Web Services
  • Ability to drive and promote DevOps culture
  • Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases

& Experience with:

  • Containerisation technology, Kubernetes, Docker, EKS
  • DevOps pipelines; both design and implementation using CircleCi, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity etc
  • IaC tools (Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK)
  • Secure design and multi-region architecture
  • One or more programming languages such as, Python,Golang, Ruby, JavaScript etc
  • Shell Scripting (BASH)
  • Software version control systems (Git)
  • Observability and Analysis
  • Monitoring tools (Datadog, Newrelic, etc)
  • Central logging systems (Datadog, ELK, Splunk, Sumo Logic)
