1. Define clear examples of your focus areas

For example, a focus area could be “Develop Talent and Improve Performance” or “Create a Learning Culture”. Think about the types of goals you want to achieve and the objectives and projects needed to reach those goals, and create a focus area for each one.
2. Think about the objectives that could fall under that focus area
Objectives are specific goals that you want to achieve within each focus area.
Examples of some objectives for the focus area of Develop talent and improve performance could be: Increase employee skills relevant to the organizations goals, and Increase employee performance.
3. Set measurable targets (KPIs) to tackle the objective

For example, the KPI for the objective of “Increase employee skills relevant to the organization’s goals” could be “Increase the number of employees with relevant skills”.
4. Implement related projects to achieve the KPIs
Projects (Actions) are activities or initiatives that need to be taken in order to reach the measurable targets (KPIs) of each objective.
