The Wound Pros, a physician-owned wound care management company operating across more than 30 U.S. states, with a team of 1,000+ professionals, is all about combining expert bedside care with cutting-edge technology to heal wounds faster, improve patient outcomes, and bring peace of mind to care facilities nationwide.

The Wound Pros is on a mission to redefine wound care, but their ambitious growth trajectory threatened to outpace their infrastructure for strategic planning and execution. With departments operating in silos and relying on different tools, visibility was low, alignment was fragmented, and execution lacked consistency.

While this decentralized approach had worked to get the company to its current size, it would not support the organization’s STaT30 plan—a bold 2030 vision to expand and diversify revenue streams.

Emphasizing the Need for Speed and Standards

Before Cascade, strategy management varied widely across the company. Each department had its own way of planning and reporting, which made it difficult to align efforts with corporate goals. Leadership lacked a clear line of sight into progress, reporting was inefficient, and momentum was slowed by duplication of effort. To sustain growth, The Wound Pros needed uniform standards and a clear change management strategy to address:

Following a leadership retreat in January, Cascade worked with Joe Mendel, SVP of Operations and Strategic Initiatives, to translate the company’s high-level vision into actionable, day-to-day execution. Through a series of targeted workshops with Clinical, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Sales & Marketing teams, the process moved seamlessly from vision-setting to department-specific plans.

The Journey Continues – Aligning to “Vital Signs”

By the end of six months, the transformation was clear. The old, fragmented approach gave way to a unified strategy execution framework anchored by Cascade. The platform was integrated with existing project management and data systems, powering the Wound Pros’ “Vital Signs” dashboard and delivering real-time visibility into progress.

Key outcomes included:
